LED Sequence Memory Game
A Simon-says memory game on an STM32 microcontroller, with a 12-LED matrix, a keypad and an LCD.

A 3×4 grid of LEDs, laid out like the keypad below it, flashes a sequence. You repeat it on the keypad. Each round adds a step and plays faster, and the LCD keeps score. It’s inspired by the sequence test on Human Benchmark.
Under the hood
- An STM32 Nucleo board (Arm Cortex-M4) runs the game, written in C with the STM32 HAL.
- An MCP23017 I/O expander drives the twelve LEDs over I²C.
- A 16×2 LCD shows instructions and the score.
- Timers and interrupts handle the pacing and the keypad scanning.
This project was a fun look and introduction into embedded systems, and made me appreciate arcade games a whole lot more.
